In November 2013, at the 18th annual Eddy Awards, the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) recognized the City of Lancaster as the “Most Business-Friendly City” in Los Angeles County. The Eddy Award is the equivalent of an Oscars for the most pro-business city.
Lancaster is a back-to-back winner of the Eddy Award. Winners of an Eddy cannot apply for the Eddy Award for 5 years. Lancaster won an Eddy in 2007, applied for the Eddy in 2012 and won it in 2013!
It is a huge honor to be named the most business-friendly city in the most populated and wealthiest county in America, LA County. Keep in mind, LA County if separated from California would be ranked about the 5th wealthiest state in America and Lancaster is the most pro-business city in the county!
