(Photo: Business Wire) First Solar, Inc (Nasdaq: FSLR) announced today that the Antelope Valley (AV) Solar Ranch One project, located in North LA County, achieved a 100 megawatt (MW) generating capacity. The solar project began in September 2011 and is expected to complete later this year. The photovoltaic (PV) power plant is being built on 2,100 acres and will have a generating capacity of 230 MW upon completion.

If you produce electricity using solar panels, it is an ecological option for producing electricity
